[E007c] Johnny Jewel (Italians Do It Better) Mix

October 10th: World Mental Health Day 2021
On World Mental Health Day, October 10th, 2021 the collective known as EBiT™ is to release an exclusive music mix by revered musician Johnny Jewel of Italians Do It Better, upon special invitation from legendary sound designer Michel Gaubert and iconic model and singer Soo Joo Park.

Featuring lyrics as “I don’t wanna pretend”, “let me talk to you” and “I feel better” the mix is said to be a sensory gift to the fashion industry, a moment of solidarity and an emotional parachute back to reality, for all those consumed by the intense fashion month which ended in Paris on 5th October. Almost two hours of continuous dopamine releasing, hypnotic and optimistic sound, the music mix by Jewel is the sequel in Michel Gaubert’s trilogy of music mixes [E007] with EBIT™.

The legendary DJ John Digweed, in continuation of his collective collaboration with EBIT™, will debut the Johnny Jewel music mix exclusively via live stream on John Digweed’s Mixcloud, with his own specially curated intro mix, on World Mental Health Day, Sunday October 10th.

The mix will be live streamed once only at:
www.mixcloud.com/live/johndigweed/
7pm in Paris
6pm in London
1pm in NYC
10am in LA

The mix will then be aired via John Digweed’s world-renowned TRANSITIONS radio network during the weekend of October 16th/17th, syndicated to 45 countries, 80 radio stations globally. Following this, the mix will reside on the Mixcloud accounts of Michel Gaubert and of John Digweed, available as an impassioned resource for the whole of society as and when people feel the need for it.

EBIT™ visual identity and the main cover image artwork for the Italians Do It Better mix [E007c] by Johnny Jewel has been created by art and design duo M/M (Paris), one of the most distinctive and acclaimed creative voices of today.

Motion content accompanying the live stream of the mix is by EBIT™ and rising filmmaker Gabriel De Urioste with elements taken as highlights from the imminent Yellow Trip Road [E022], a soon to be released EBIT™ virtual immersive retail experience with pioneering studio AnamXR, where the mix will reemerge as audio backdrop. The Yellow Trip Road [E022] experience with AnamXR will present the first virtual EBIT™ products, called Bumper Jumpers [E016], digital sweatshirts said to be metaphorical safety blankets for today’s hostile and changing world, with a percentage of sales going to charity American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP.org).

“Music is also an emotional rollercoaster, a mood enhancer that never lets you down, the friend that takes you everywhere and that you can take anywhere.”
Michel Gaubert
“Bass is therapy.
Sound is time travel.
Rhythm is the gateway to connecting to the people & world that surrounds us.
Music is the most elusive of all the arts.
You can't touch it, but you can feel its vibration.
Once it touches you, your life will never be the same.
Above all, music is truly medicine.
Enter the maze & enjoy the ride.”
Johnny Jewel (Italians Do It Better)
“After the success of our Blue Monday stream with EBIT™ earlier this year, it’s great to be able to use my platform with Mixcloud and Transitions to help raise awareness of World Mental Health Day on October 10th with an exclusive mix from Johnny Jewel of Italians Do It Better. Make sure you check out the Live stream on Mixcloud as the mix is accompanied with some amazing visuals. Take a moment to tune in.”
