[E028] Igor Furtado Harmonic Frequency

HARMONIC FREQUENCY [E028], by Igor Furtado, with Janice Mascarenhas and Sabine Passareli.
Igor Furtado, image maker in Rio de Janeiro, was encouraged to have complete artistic freedom for their interpretation and manifestation of EBIT™. What does Enjoy Being In Transition mean? Furtado invited two collaborators into his interpretation - Janice and Sabine - both of whom embody the solidarity and spirit of EBIT™.
The results of the Brazilian triangular collective were questioning and profound - a glimpse at the frequency of peace and harmony - while reinforcing cultural values built on togetherness, self-esteem and mental health.
The creative output were incredible photographs, a video, and heartfelt messages hand written by Sabine.

"What builds and moves me is the basis for my reality. The years of work of my social support network, articulated to my process as an independent and autonomous being, go through time causing structural changes.

Our generation is different from our parents', however they are connected through the effects of the encounter between the facts of the past, the present and perspectives for the future.

Changes are necessary so that we can imagine other panoramas and implications of what it is to live in society. Taking care of our Mental Health is essential to make possible a new reality.

There are many ways to be vulnerable in the face of colonial and capitalist wounds. With this, suffering becomes multiple and we are required to create more inventive ways of caring. Tenderness is one of the possible intervention resources in the process of oppressive hierarchies and totalitarian institutions. We can’t trivialize the suffering caused by systematic oppression, lack of support and access to public policies.

The guarantee of what is necessarily delicate, such as Mental Health care, ensures the transformation of the old ways of caring and allows us to access fairer and safer territories.

Our bodies, as well as our homes, guarantee changes that are demanded over time. This implication show us the importance of more multiple support networks that understand generational differences, the invention of new ways of intervening in life and connecting with everything that is precious, rare and real."
