About the People:

Elena - As a teenager Elena struggled with depression and severe anxiety attacks. Unable to express herself, it took her a long time to understand what was happening. She was scared and too proud to ask for help, feeling like nobody would understand her. When it became debilitating – long days not able to get out of bed, stopping attendance at school – she started therapy whch helped her a lot. Elena references the worst part being that she couldn't even find any sense or reason to justify what she was feeling, or find the will to try to fix it. As Elena grew older, she became more aware of her emotions, and the people around her helped her a lot to overcome and manage these challenges. Even now, she says “I still have good days and bad days, and I know that’s something I’ll always have to face, but I approach it very differently than before! The simple act of talking about it has helped me immensely.”

Leonardo - Lives with mild and intermittent depression, after a period of injury affected his potential soccer career. At the time of the injury it was quite deep period, two or three months. He was unable, not wanting, to be with the people usually he loves, instead internalizing the happenings mainly lying in bed with extreme lack of energy. Sessions with a psychologist helped Leonardo regain his true self, however he is aware now of depression and has the tools to manage it when it comes. Leonardo is of Italian and Cuban descent.

About the Product:

The gabardine fabric is an exclusive yarn to EBiT™ weaved in an Italian artisanal family owned mill in north-east Italy, using organic cotton on a machine with 80,000 needles (see process videos). Gabardine is a fabric often used for strength and durability, symbolizing a new form of uniform and protection, for those fragile and sensitive days. Unisex, structured trousers with button closure at waist and zip fly opening. Functional button closing at ankle provides more tailored or more loose fit appearance. Lots of room in the leg provides fluidity in movement for all body and leg types. This fabric ‘breathes’ and softens over time the more times it is worn, durably molding to the shape and movements of your body.

About the Label:

Every EBiT™ item of clothing has the signature 66cm light blue label, containing deep references that yearn to be researched. It's visible through the octagon hole (the octagon being a symbol of rebirth, transition). The label has multiple styling options, intentionally designed to be:

• Worn inside the garment with the flash of blue visible to the outside
• Pulled through the octagon feature and worn externally outside the garment with the long label flowing freely
